Dear Friends,

You are invited to this year’s German-American Day celebration on October 4th at 5:00 pm in Orleans Square. G-A Day is a national holiday honoring German culture and heritage. It specifically commemorates the first significant immigration of 13 German families to Philadelphia in 1683 and their founding of Germantown.

German Beer, Wine, water and finger food will be provided

This year’s event will feature a speaker from Germany, Professor Christoph Meier-Siem, and a representative for the city of Savannah, Alderman Bill Durrence.
